Now that I have gone over what to do, where to stay, where to eat, where to shop, and what to avoid, I think you are ready to take your trip to Port St. Joe! Don't forget to watch the beautiful sunsets and take in the fresh air. Remember, this small town is still trying to rebuild their home but they will still welcome you with open arms!

Accommodations 🏘

As far as accommodations go, there are many different types to choose from. You can either stay in a motel, campground, family hotel, resort, romantic hotel, business hotel, or beach hotel. I have already warned you not to stay at the Buccaneer Inn. Besides that, the rest of the accommodations in Port St. Joe are great places to make reservations in. Of course, you can also choose to stay at an Airbnb, as they are rising in popularity.

Food 🍲

I know what you're thinking, what about the food? There are a variety of places to either sit down and dine or grab a quick bite. Most of the restaurants are American, but there is some variety such as Italian, Mexican and Chinese. Don't forget about the seafood! Remember, you are surrounded by water! Some of these restaurants have live music which makes a great atmosphere to relax and unwind after a long day in the sun. 🌞

Shopping 🛍

There are a few outdoor shops to choose from in Port St. Joe like Scallop Cove, Bluewater Outriggers, Coastal Cabin, and Bay Breeze Antiques. They all have pretty good reviews so I would definitely recommend stopping by and browsing to collect some souvenirs!

Saint Joseph's Bay Golf Club 🏌

Make sure not to take a golfing trip while visiting Port St. Joe. Although this course has a very nice layout, they do not maintain it. There are weeds everywhere and the green looks like it's just moss that is dyed green. The staff is also unfriendly and you will not have a good experience.

Buccaneer Inn 🏨

This inn should definitely be on your do not list. Steer clear of going anywhere near here. There are more terrible reviews than excellent. Guests were not happy with the service, cleanliness, how run down it is, and much more. Some people even left before their hotel reservations were over.

Port St. Joe Marina 🛥

Although this marina was beautiful in the past, people have advised not to go there after Hurricane Michael devastated the area. The staff was super warm and friendly and it was such a relaxing spot to visit when traveling to Port St. Joe.

Cape San Blas Lighthouse 📍

The lighthouse is definitely worth stopping for, regardless if it's open or not! Tourists that have visited the lighthouse have explained how nerve-wracking it can be due to the staircase being so steep and narrow. Even from afar, this lighthouse will take your breath away and make your experience in Port St. Joe even more memorable!

Cape San Blas 🏄

You will never run out of things to do here at Cape San Blas. With it being surrounded by three different bodies of water including the gulf, a bay, and a state park, there's an endless amount of opportunities for fun. A little fun fact about Cape San Blas: it is one of the few beaches in Florida where you can have a bonfire without a permit. The good thing about this place is you have the option to just relax and not do anything or you can be entertained by a countless number of water activities.
